this murse is a joke. Adrenalin and angina? He should obviously know that it is due like all angina to vasoconstriction. Drug of choice would be diltiazem 240mg BID

Heh, that question is a little out of my league. My understanding is that calcium-channel blockers would be the drug-of-choice for vasospastic/Printzmetal angina. I think maybe Propranolol for autonomic (or epinephrine or cocaine) blockade, although there might be some concern for alpha stimulation causing severe hypertension (especially if cocaine is involved). It seems that beta-blockers do help attenuate the autonomic stress response even when cognitively induced.

Question please: Why does adrenaline induce angina - if people have clear coronary arteries? (Vaso Spastic angina/CA Spasm). Is this because adrenaline alone can constrict coronary arteries? How would you treat someone with Autonomic Nervous System Dysfunction (Dysautonomia), who gets chronic adrenaline induced Angina? (E.G getting hypertensive/central chest pain/left arm pain - in heavy traffic). Would GTN still be the drug of choice, even if it's CNS/Neuro induced? Thanks.

SADLY, it is not. The basic bull crap story right now is that once it's there, the foam cells go to work and cause even more inflammation and, you're done!!!

Check out Dr Caldwell Esselstyn's and Dr Michael Klaper's lectures on atherosclerosis reversal (video.google). I hope the info is included in your current med school curriculum!.
