look, government powers are getting stronger lately because the mechanism that used to protect us (the press) has been co-opted. I don't know if you were calling ME a waste of skin so I'll just let that slide. Haven't you seen people carted out of government meetings, of people losing their press credentials and carreers for investigating the white house? No. We have the right of free speech. Having the right of free speech and also having that right protected by Constitutional law can only discourage others from attempting to prevent you from exercising it. If police are taught it is lawful to violate your rights, then there is no magic that stops them. They will prevent you from speaking. When they do it doesn't tickle, but freedom of speech is still your right. They have simply violated that right.
