i get thick smoke as HELL when i smoke.. normally i stick 15 small tight holes in the middle of the folie, but its important that you dont use to much tobaco, then you will burn it!

you always put the water to about 1/2" to 1" above the bottom of the stem. Cheers!

good question! actually it would probably not smoke, you need to use tobacco or herbal hookah shisha. Cheers!
