Ethan Nadelmann For DRUG CZAR

Yes, prohibitive laws have always caused crime and police corruption, I think I heard Jack Cole of LEAP say "in the last ten years 50% of smokers have quit. this is due to education" No matter how you look at it a good drug awareness program that doesn't include talking dogs and a guy putting his hand in his mouth (the PSA propaganda)would go a lot further than prohibition could ever hope to. Teach our children and lead by example. Responsible decisions are key in all we do, not just drugs.

contraband tobacco is becoming a problem in Canada because legal cigarrettes are becoming more and more heavily taxed. If there is too much regulation on tobacco than a black market will rise even if the drug is legal i agree 100% with Nadelmann

Prohibition ALWAYS does more harm than good. At one time in parts of Asia tobacco was banned punishable by death. Even that failed miserably. Prohibition is a policy that has never never worked anywhere in history and never will.

That's actually not true.

People dont get addicted off one hit of meth. Different drugs have different effects on different people.

I'm saying that people have a god damned fucking choice and saying it addicts them does not change the fact that they would have to be a retard to not understand what could happen when they first tried it, and people aren't going to get addicted off of one hit of a cigarette that you hear like with meth.
