This debate is idiotic. The law is the law and if you don't want to follow it get the hell out of the country. I don't know why there was a checkpoint there and I wont speculate either. However, it was still a legal checkpoint. As for everyone saying that checkpoints aren't constitutional, point out to me where in the constitution it talks about checkpoints, either positively or negatively. Also, if she had done nothing wrong and had nothing to hide why not just tell them who she was?

Don't be silly. Christians aren't targeted nearly as much as liberals, blacks, environmentalists, animal rights activists, and lawyers for the American Civil Liberties union. There are people who work for the ACLU who have no criminal record or un-American background but are on Homeland security "terrorist watch lists" because they simply disagree with Bush war policies. Wake up and include everyone! Christians are one of many targeted groups in this age of the patriot act.

Yes for the love of all that you may believe in the Constitution is a very debatable document. If you knew the first thing about the constitutional debates that have gone on in this country since the 18th century you wouldn't claim otherwise. And quoting the Constitution is never a crime but when you're being arrested is not the time to question the constitutionality of the arrest.
