This song was the most favorite song that Issac Hayes made that my Big Brother liked. I remember as a child when he went to Vietnam and I would hear this song I would try to find some place to run & hide to deal with his being gone into the Vietnam war, not certain if he would come back home alive or not. This song generates so much provocative energy and evokes the deepest memories. This is a wonderful piece of art by the man of soul. I dedicate this song to my now deceased bro. J.C. Ashford

God, I miss Isaac! Of all his fantastic songs, this was my favorite. For all of us who have ever been in a one sided love affair, this song said everything we couldn't say. I cried myself to sleep listening to this on the headphones more than once. Love ya, Isaac!
