I saw this cartoon for the first time on Cartoon Network I just Love the Monkies in the begining. The monkey's kind of reminds me of me cause I recently tryed a smoking pipe with Prince Albert tobacco and it had that exact effect with me but all tobaccos cant be quite that bad so I havent given up. I want too be like my hero's Basil of Bakerstreet, Sherlock Hound and Sherlock Holmes P:

Of course, Harman and Ising were always trying to "emulate" Disney in their "Happy Harmonies" {which came to an end shortly after this was released in early 1938}- in fact, they actually animated the 'Silly Symphony' "Merbabies" for Walt late in '38, after their MGM contract wasn't renewed...

yeah i found it shortly after i posted that message. but yeah it looks like someone shooting a tv screen with a videocamera. pretty bad. a good quality post of good little monkeys would be awesome.

Jukebox Jamboree was a Walter Lantz production through Universal, i think. (nomineed to Oscar in 42). You can see a brasilian dubbed version on YouTube (with absurd censored cuts)I call your atention for the beautiful music by Darrell Calker.

"wholly Smoke" was on the latest Looney Tunes set, volume 5, but I don't recall ever seeing "Jukebox Jamboree." |
